TOPIC: BLESSINGS FOR OBEDIENCE

TEXT: DEUTERONOMY 28:1-13

🔑Key Verse:
“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God” (Deuteronomy 28:2).

“O.B.E.D.I.E.N.C.E., obedience is the best way to show that you believe”. This was the chorus Betsy was singing when her mother called out to her from the kitchen, “Betsy, could you please bring me the bowl on the dining table?”

“Oh! No mom, I’m busy with my game. You always send me on errands when I am enjoying the best part of my game”. Did Betsy’s behaviour match the wordings of the chorus she was singing? No!

Obedience is a Christian character required from every child. Obedience is not only doing what you are told, it is also being faithful, loyal and willing to do the will of God.

The reward of obedience, according to our text, is God’s abundant blessings. God wants to give us good things, make us happy and give us a great future.

Disobedience has resulted in serious calamities and even death for some children. Being obedient will save you a lot of trouble and bring uncountable blessings in your life.

Help me Lord, to obey You in all I do so that I will be blessed.
